In 2010, the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) within the United States Department of State initiated the Global Undergraduate Exchange Program.. The Global UGRAD-Pakistan program has quickly gained popularity among Pakistani university students. Despite its short existence, it has become well-known. The first batch of 100 fellows from the 2010-11 Global UGRAD-Pakistan program returned to Pakistan after completing a semester in the United States. They went back to finish their undergraduate degrees at Pakistani universities.
The Global UGRAD program is designed to award scholarships to undergraduate Pakistani students. It targets those who are currently enrolled in a university in Pakistan. It offers a unique cultural and academic exchange experience. Students can study for one semester at a U.S. university. This initiative provides a valuable opportunity for free study in the USA for Pakistani students. It helps them to broaden their academic and cultural horizons.

Tentative Announcement: September/October
Duration: One semester approximately half attend in fall the other half attend in spring
Grantees Start Studies: Fall of the following year
Eligibility Criteria for Free Study in USA for Pakistani Students
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
Must be Pakistani citizens.
Must be 25 years or younger.
Applicant should be enrolled in a college or university in Pakistan.
Must be committed to returning to their home universities after completing the program.
Candidate must have 14th or 15th year of formal education.
Applicants are required to submit current or most recent and old transcripts with their application.
Ineligibility
Dual U.S./Pakistani nationals or U.S permanent residents.
Employees of the Fulbright organization, the U.S Department of State, or USAID.
Spouses, children, fiancés, siblings, dependents, and parents of the employees mentioned above.
Students should not have first or final year of university.
How to Apply for Free Study in the USA for Pakistani Students
The Global UGRAD-Pakistan program offers a fantastic opportunity for free study in the USA for Pakistani students. The program is advertised every year, usually around September or October, so be sure to check for availability during this period.
Applicant must have to apply online before deadline. All supporting documents, such as photocopies of transcripts, should be attached to the online application before submission.
