Introduction
Malaysian International Scholarships for Pakistani Students program aims to support Pakistani students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and leadership potential. It covers academic fees, living cost, and provide stipend to cover additional costs during their study. In 2024, Malaysian universities are offering fully funded scholarships exclusively for Pakistani students, providing them with the chance to receive a world-class education in a vibrant and diverse environment.
Who can apply
Those Who are citizens from the recipient countries of MIS, mentioned bellow.
Who want to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s/PhD) in Malaysia; or
A person Who is currently pursuing full-time postgraduate studies in Malaysian universities and selected private higher education schools with a minimum of two (2) semesters remaining before the end of the study.

Eligibility criteria
- Candidate must follow the following criteria for their applications to be considered further.
- Applicant must be around40 and 45 years old at the time of application for master’s and PhD levels respectively.
- Possessing good academic qualifications.
- Master’s applicants: obtaining CGPA 3.0 / 2ndClass Upper (Honour) or higher at Bachelor’s Degree level.
- PhD applicants: must have at least CGPA 3.0 at Master’s level in course related to the intended study program
- Master in good proficiency of English Language.
- Score band 6.0 or higher in IELTS; or
- Candidate must obtaining a total score of 550 or higher in TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) or
- Applicant have to obtained previous degree(s) with English used as the medium of
- Submitting a research proposal with minimum of 1,000 words that is related to the area of interest.

Steps to Apply for the MIS Scholarship
Step 1: Identify universities that offer your field of study and are affiliated with MIS.
Step 2: Contact professors at these universities to request their acceptance as a student. Obtaining an acceptance letter from a professor can significantly enhance your scholarship chances and is generally attainable.
Step 3: Apply to at least one, but no more than three, university portals of your choice to obtain an admission letter. Note that an acceptance letter will facilitate the admission process. If you do not have an acceptance letter, ensure your application is strong, including elements such as an advanced proposal, publications, and various internships.
Step 4: Submit your application for the MIS Scholarship through the MIS portal

- Applicant must undertake full-time study for postgraduate programs at the selected universities and higher education
- Applicant must not change their study program while during pursuing of the scholarship except with written permission from the university and the Ministry of Higher
- Candidate must fulfill the requirements of the study program and have to obey by Malaysian laws and the university’s rules, regulations.
- Any suspension from the university will effect in the scholar’s immediate suspension of the Monthly allowances and stipends are not payable during the suspension.
- It’s responsibility of the successful candidate to apply and meet the requirements for the issuing of an appropriate entry visa, including a medical report. Further details are available at https://visa.educationmalaysia.gov.my.
